Description

Folinn H110 is a compact vector frequency inverter developed specifically for CNC engraving machines and high-speed spindle control. It combines stepless speed regulation, selectable multi-stage speeds and a dedicated carving-machine application macro in a space-saving enclosure. The series covers 220 V and 380 V supply configurations from 1.5 kW to 15 kW and is suitable for CNC routers, woodworking engravers, stone-engraving machines, craft engravers and other spindle-driven machine tools.

The H110 is designed around practical spindle integration: analogue 0–10 V speed reference, digital start and multi-speed inputs, fault relay output, external keypad connection and RS485 communication are available for connection to CNC controllers and control cabinets. Parent product SKU: 1083100.

Dedicated Control for CNC Spindles

The H110 is the carving-machine version of the Folinn H1 platform. Its dedicated application macro is intended to simplify commissioning of common high-speed spindles. The manufacturer specifies a standard 0–1000 Hz output range, vector-control technology, dynamic torque-current control and quick response to changing spindle load.

Key Features:

  • Spindle-focused frequency range:
Standard output up to 1000 Hz supports conventional 400 Hz spindles and higher-frequency spindle applications.
  • Dedicated carving-machine macro:
The factory application macro provides a practical starting configuration for engraving-machine spindle control.
  • Flexible speed command:
Speed can be set by the keypad, 0–10 V analogue input, multi-stage digital inputs or communication.
  • Compact installation:
The compact enclosure is suitable for integration into CNC electrical cabinets where installation space is limited.
  • Integrated monitoring:
The keypad displays output frequency, current, voltage, DC-bus voltage, alarms and fault information.
  • Built-in protection functions:
Protection covers over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, phase loss, overheating, overload and other operating faults.

Typical applications:

CNC routers, woodworking engraving machines, stone engravers, craft and cylindrical engraving machines, PCB drilling systems, milling machines and control cabinets for manual or automatic tool-change spindles.

Spindle Setup and Carving-Machine Macro

For a typical carving-machine setup, the manual identifies application macro P01.20 = 84. After selecting the macro, enter the actual spindle nameplate values for rated power, rated voltage, rated frequency, rated current and rated speed. The manual’s standard carving-machine example uses a maximum frequency of 400 Hz, 5-second acceleration and deceleration times, S1 terminal start and a fault relay output; these are setup examples and must be checked against the connected spindle and machine.

  • Maximum setting frequency: P02.18
  • Motor rated power: P06.11
  • Motor rated voltage: P06.12
  • Motor rated frequency: P06.13
  • Motor rated current: P06.14
  • Motor rated speed: P12.06

Important: Do not copy generic spindle parameters without checking the spindle nameplate. Incorrect voltage, current, frequency or acceleration settings can damage the spindle, inverter or machine.

Control Inputs and CNC Integration

The H110 control interface supports both simple standalone operation and integration with a CNC controller. The dedicated H0101 control card provides four digital inputs, one analogue input, a relay output and an RJ45 connection for the external keypad and RS485 signals.

  • AI1 analogue input: 0–10 V or 0–20 mA, selected by the SW1 jumper.
  • Digital inputs S1–S4: Start and multi-stage speed commands; external 9–30 V logic is supported.
  • Relay output RA/RB: Configurable status output, commonly used for fault indication.
  • RS485 communication: MODBUS RTU communication is available for controller integration.
  • Analogue wiring: Use shielded cable and keep the analogue signal run as short as practical; the manual specifies a maximum of 20 m.

For multi-stage operation, three digital inputs can select seven programmed speed levels. In the manufacturer’s 400 Hz example, the stages correspond to 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 Hz.

Installation and Safety Notes

  • Disconnect the power supply before wiring and wait at least 10 minutes before opening the enclosure.
  • Never connect the AC input supply to the inverter output terminals U, V and W.
  • Connect protective earth correctly and use a suitable circuit breaker and cable size for the selected model.
  • Install the inverter vertically on a non-flammable surface with adequate cooling clearance.
  • Keep control wiring separated from main power wiring to reduce electrical interference.
  • Commissioning and wiring should be carried out by personnel familiar with variable-frequency drives and CNC spindle systems.
