Description
Details
The NBT30-ER32 is a 30-taper automatic-tool-change (ATC) collet holder for CNC routers and milling machines that use the NBT30 / non-keyway BT30 interface. It combines a BT30-family spindle interface with an ER32 collet chuck, supporting tool shanks up to Ø20mm depending on the ER32 collet fitted. The NBT30 designation is commonly used in the CNC-router market for a BT30-style holder without the two side drive slots or keyways found on conventional BT30 holders.
This distinction is important because ISO30, BT30 and NBT30 are all size-30 steep-taper tool-holder families, but their flange geometry, drive-slot arrangement, pull stud and ATC tool-fork requirements are not necessarily the same. Select the holder by the complete spindle interface, not only by the “30” taper size.
Features / details:
- Balanced NBT30 ER32 tool holder with pull stud and tool holder clips
- Centricity: <0.008mm
- Hardness: HRC56
- Material: 20CrMnTi
ISO30, BT30 and NBT30 Compared
In CNC-router applications, ISO30 commonly refers to the DIN 69871 / SK30-style 7:24 holder, while BT30 refers to the Japanese JIS B 6339 / MAS 403 form. NBT30 is a commercial designation widely used for a non-keyway BT30-style holder.
| Interface | Typical identification | Main difference | ATC compatibility point |
|---|---|---|---|
| ISO30 / SK30 | 30-size 7:24 taper; DIN 69871 / SK30 form typically uses a Ø50mm flange | Drive slots are normally present; the flange and pull-stud arrangement differs from BT30 | Use a matching ISO30 spindle interface, pull stud and tool fork |
| BT30 | JIS B 6339 / MAS 403; 30-size 7:24 taper; Ø46mm flange | Symmetrical BT flange with side drive slots/keyways and a BT30 retention-knob system | Use a matching BT30 spindle, drive-key arrangement, pull stud and tool changer |
| NBT30 | Non-keyway BT30-style holder widely used on CNC routers | No side drive slots/keyways; otherwise based on the BT30-family spindle-side format | Use only where the spindle and ATC are designed for the non-keyway BT30/NBT30 format |

Important compatibility note: ISO30, BT30 and NBT30 should not be treated as automatically interchangeable. Before ordering, verify the spindle interface, flange and drive-key design, pull-stud geometry and tool-fork type. A matching taper size alone does not confirm ATC compatibility.
