Relay Module Board

This is a LOW Level 5V relay interface board, and each channel needs a 15-20mA driver current. It can be used to control various appliances and equipment with large current. It is equipped with high-current relays that work under AC250V 10A or DC30V 10A. It has a standard interface that can be controlled directly by microcontroller. This module is optically isolated from high voltage side for safety requirement and also prevent ground loop when interface to microcontroller.

    • 2-8 Channel Relay Module with Opto-coupler
    • Used to control various appliances and equipment with large current such as Motor, DC/AC Load , Lights and etc
    • Standard interface that can be controlled directly by microcontroller ( 8051, AVR, *PIC, DSP, ARM, ARM, MSP430, TTL logic), CNC controllers
    • Opto-Coupler isolation, for high voltage safety and prevent ground loop with microcontroller
    • Operating Trigger Voltage: 5V DC (3.3V in optocoupled mode without jumper and externa power supply)

 PINOUT DESCRIPTION

  • VCC – Pin provides power to the built-in optocouplers and, optionally, the relay’s electromagnet (if you keep the jumper in place). Connect it to the 5V pin on the Arduino.
  • GND – Is the common ground pin.
  • IN1 ∼ IN8 – These pins control the relay. These are active low pins, which means that pulling them LOW activates the relay and pulling them HIGH deactivates it.
  • JD-VCC – Provides power to the relay’s solenoid. When the jumper is in place, JD-VCC is shorted to VCC, allowing the solenoids to be powered by the Arduino’s/controllers  5V line. Without the jumper cap, you’d have to connect it to a separate 5V power source.
  • VCC – This pin is shorted to the JD-VCC pin with the jumper cap on. Keep this pin disconnected if you remove the jumper.
