Description
The Self Adhesive Metric Ruler is a low-profile stainless-steel measuring tape designed for permanent installation on workbenches, machine tables, guide rails and woodworking fixtures. Its adhesive backing keeps the scale fixed at the point of use, helping operators read dimensions directly at a fence, stop or cutting position without repeatedly handling a separate tape measure.
Five metric variants are available in right-reading, left-reading and centre-zero configurations. Each ruler has a 12.5 mm tape width, 0.2 mm thickness and metallic finish, with lengths selected for compact machines, long tables and symmetrical measuring setups.
Models and Technical Data
Choose the reading direction and length that match the machine layout and the operator’s normal viewing position.

Reading Direction Options
The correct reading direction depends on where the zero point is located and from which side the measurement increases.
- Right-reading: the scale increases from left to right, from 0 to 3 m or 5 m.
- Left-reading: the scale increases from right to left, from 0 to 3 m or 5 m.
- Centre-zero: the zero point is in the middle, with the scale increasing to both the left and right.

Construction and Practical Benefits
The hardened stainless-steel strip provides a durable measuring surface for repeated workshop use, while the slim 0.2 mm profile keeps the ruler close to the mounting surface. The fixed scale is especially useful where measurements must be checked repeatedly at the same workstation.
- Permanent reference: keeps a metric scale directly on the machine, bench or fixture.
- Space-efficient format: the 12.5 mm width fits narrow tracks, fences and table edges.
- Direction choice: select right, left or centre-zero reading to suit the installation.
- Long measuring range: 3 m and 5 m options cover compact and extended work surfaces.
- Workshop applications: suitable for mitre saws, table saws, router tables, band saws, T-tracks and general workbenches.

Installation Guidance
For reliable adhesion, mount the ruler on a smooth, flat, clean and dry surface. Establish the required zero reference before removing the backing, align the scale carefully along the machine edge or track, then press it down evenly along its full length. Check the reading against the actual fence, stop or cutting position before starting work.
Typical Applications
The installed ruler provides an immediate visual reference for setting fences, stops and workpiece positions on woodworking and light workshop equipment.
