Description
The Shaft Cross Connector is an anodized aluminium clamping block designed to join two round linear shafts in a rigid cross arrangement. The connector has two intersecting shaft bores positioned at 90 degrees to each other, allowing one shaft to be fixed transversely to the other without machining a custom bracket or support plate.
Each shaft is held by a split-clamp section tightened with socket screws. The range includes connectors for equal shaft diameters as well as mixed-diameter combinations, making it suitable for CNC machine structures, automation assemblies, positioning fixtures and custom mechanical frames where two linear shafts need to be connected securely at right angles.
Dimensions and Technical Data
The drawing and table below show the available CROSS connector sizes and their corresponding dimensions.
Available shaft combinations:
- Same diameter: CROSS-16, CROSS-20 and CROSS-25.
- Mixed diameters: CROSS-16×20, CROSS-16×25 and CROSS-20×25.

Key Features
- 90-degree shaft connection: Joins two round linear shafts in a fixed perpendicular arrangement.
- Split-clamp construction: Clamping slots and socket screws secure the shafts without requiring additional shaft machining.
- Equal or mixed diameters: Available for 16/16 mm, 20/20 mm, 25/25 mm, 16/20 mm, 16/25 mm and 20/25 mm shaft combinations.
- Anodized aluminium body: Provides a lightweight, corrosion-resistant connector for mechanical and linear-motion assemblies.
- Compact structural connection: Useful where two shaft guides need to form a rigid cross member or positioning structure.
Typical Applications
Shaft Cross Connectors are suitable for CNC machine frames, automation fixtures, positioning mechanisms, test rigs and custom linear-motion structures where two round shafts must be joined securely at right angles. They can be used to create transverse supports, structural cross-members or adjustable shaft-based assemblies without manufacturing a dedicated bracket.
