Description
The SHF Shaft Support is a compact aluminium support designed for rigid one-sided mounting of round linear shafts in CNC machines, automation equipment and custom linear-motion assemblies. The support clamps the shaft securely while its flat flange-style base is bolted directly to a machine frame, plate or structural profile, creating a fixed shaft support point without requiring a separate bearing housing.
Compared with the longer SHFL version, the SHF uses a shorter and more compact mounting body. This makes it well suited to installations where space is limited but the shaft still needs a firm end support or an additional stabilising point.

Key Features
- Compact one-sided support: Provides a rigid fixed mounting point for a round linear shaft while using a short mounting footprint.
- Split-clamp shaft fixing: The slotted support body and clamping bolt secure the shaft after positioning.
- Direct frame mounting: The flange-style base can be fastened to machine plates, brackets or aluminium extrusion structures.
- Multiple shaft sizes: Available for 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm and 40 mm shaft diameters.
- Mechanical system integration: Suitable for CNC routers, milling machines, automation equipment and custom linear-motion structures.
Example Installation on Aluminium Extrusion
The example below shows how an SHF Shaft Support can be used to mount a round linear shaft directly to an aluminium extruded profile. The support is fixed to the profile with mounting bolts, while the split clamp holds the shaft firmly in position.
Installation principle:
- Support mounting: Bolt the SHF base to the aluminium profile or machine structure.
- Shaft positioning: Insert the round shaft into the support bore and align it to the required position.
- Final clamping: Tighten the clamping bolt to lock the shaft securely in the support.

Typical Applications
SHF shaft supports are suitable for fixed shaft ends and additional stabilising points in CNC routers, milling machines, automation fixtures and custom linear-motion frames. Their compact body is particularly useful where the available mounting space is limited.
