Construction, Performance and Applications
The PL Series combines a straight-tooth planetary transmission with a compact inline housing for CNC, automation and general motion-control systems. The supplier information below is consolidated into two practical groups so that construction, operating advantages and typical use cases are clear without repeating technical values already shown in the tables above.

Durable Mechanical Construction
The gearbox uses a robust planetary stage with heat-treated high-strength alloy-steel internal components. The supplier specifies a nickel-plated inner tooth ring for improved oxidation resistance, together with an anodized black flange base for a durable, corrosion-resistant external finish.
- Straight-tooth planetary design: Provides efficient mechanical reduction in a compact inline gearbox format.
- Protected internal gearing: Nickel-plated ring gear helps resist oxidation and supports long-term durability.
- Sealed lubrication system: Oil-seal construction is designed to retain lubricant and reduce leakage during operation.
- Heat-treated alloy-steel components: Internal parts are designed for repeated duty in demanding CNC and automation environments.

Compact and Practical Integration
The PL straight-gear design is intended for stepper and servo transmission systems where compact dimensions, practical installation and efficient torque transfer are more important than the very low backlash typically associated with helical planetary gearboxes.
- Stepper and servo compatibility: Suitable for matched NEMA-format stepper motors and servo motors when the motor-side interface is verified.
- Space-saving layout: Short inline construction suits CNC axes, rotary mechanisms and compact automation assemblies.
- Efficient torque transfer: Planetary gear architecture provides multiple gear contacts within a compact housing.
- Typical applications: CNC routers, milling-machine axes, rotary tables, positioning systems, packaging equipment and general automation machinery.
3D Models and Technical Drawings
Download the mechanical reference files for the PL60 and PL90 single-stage gearbox frames. Each frame includes a 3D model package for CAD integration and a PDF dimensional drawing for installation and machine-design checks.
PL60 Engineering Files
For PL60 frame variants used with 60 mm servo motors or 57 mm / NEMA23 stepper motors.
PL90 Engineering Files
For PL90 frame variants used with 90 mm servo motors or 86 mm / NEMA34 stepper motors.
Motor-side interface note: The supplied 3D models show the AC-servo input-side configuration. When a Stepper Motor variant is ordered, the motor-side mounting-hole pattern and input-shaft interface are manufactured to match the corresponding NEMA standard (NEMA23 for PL60 or NEMA34 for PL90). The external gearbox envelope and output-side dimensions remain the same for the corresponding PL60 or PL90 frame, so the machine-side installation space is unchanged between Servo and Stepper versions.
